The suitcases have been trial packed to over-flowing and now for the toughest pre-travel decision - what not to take! Everyone says - travel lightly. But when you need clothing suitable for hot Moroccan days and cold London nights, it's not so easy. And what about all that cool new going away stuff I bought at FCUK! I'm sure we'll be stressing about this right up until we check our luggage in at Melbourne Airport. After that, of course it's too late to worry.
We fly out on Emirates on April Fools Day. After a 2 day stop-over in Dubai to break the journey, we arrive in Rome in time for Holy Week. Our pensione is a short walk from the Vatican, so we've been told to expect large crowds and lots of queues. Then it's on to Florence, Venice, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Cologne, Paris, Bordeaux, Barcelona, Madrid, Morocco and finally, London.
I hope to be able to make regular posts to this Blog. The frequency will obviously depend on access to the internet, the available time and also Julie's level of patience with me when I say I just need five more minutes and I'll be finished.
